Data Engineering Project/Delivery Manager

About the role:

We’re looking for an empathetic and result-oriented project manager/delivery manager to lead a group of our US-based projects/accounts. This highly-visible role spans multiple global touch points, including project and delivery management, client relationships, presales, technical consultancy, and new talent recruitment.

As our project manager, you’ll lead a group of data-heavy projects; As a delivery manager, you will ensure high-quality project delivery for the client, participate in presales activities and new business opportunities, and build delivery excellence practices together with your colleagues.

Skills & Experience:

Psychological maturity and relevant experience in IT service companies;
Background in software development as an engineer;
Experience in building data platforms or analytical products, as well as business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Looker, Sisense, Tableau, or alternatives);
Experience with implementing team-wide data quality practices;
Deep understanding of and experience speaking to the big data value chain, from ETL to DWH/lakes, to BI, AI/ML, and reverse ETL/integration with third-party systems;
Consultative sales; Experience in identifying needs and pain points, eliciting requirements, and recommending solutions;
Ability to build strong communication bridges between people with different backgrounds and mindsets;
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies;
Ability to find the balance between written rules and creative solutions;
Experience in scaled enterprise delivery frameworks and practical experience with fixed prices;
Ability to work from the office a few days weekly and the interest in gathering your team on-site.

Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager:

Lead a group of projects with 5-10 data engineers and BAs per project for clients in the US;
Ensure high-quality project delivery for the client and a good working atmosphere in the team;
Support the business development team in presales, professional events, and client-facing negotiations;
Support recruitment processes.
