We are looking for a Firmware QA Tester to join our team in Colombia and work on an innovative project in the pet tech industry.

Who are we looking for?

Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a QA Analyst, preferably in testing consumer electronics or IoT devices.
Understanding of hardware and software interactions in IoT devices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Knowledge of bug tracking systems and testing methodologies.

Nice to have

Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive firmware testing for functionality, performance, and reliability.
Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for firmware components.
Identify and report software defects, collaborating closely with developers for resolution.
Perform regression testing and verify bug fixes and feature implementations.
Collaborate with firmware developers to understand product requirements.
Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality.
Conduct performance testing to assess scalability and responsiveness, addressing bottlenecks.
Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases and testing reports.
Capability in end-to-end testing of IoT ecosystems, including devices, gateways, and cloud services, and testing integration with various platforms and mobile apps.
