GIPHY serves over 7 billion GIFs per day, our mobile products have millions of users, and our

API is integrated into some of the biggest digital platforms in the world. You will join a team responsible for supporting and scaling production infrastructure necessary for the delivery of these applications.

What we looking for

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of relevant software development experience;
Full-stack development experience on high-scale systems;
Expert web expertise with Python stack;
Advanced knowledge of React;
Solid Computer Science background;
Team-player with strong interpersonal skills;
Fluent written and spoken English.

WILL BE A PLUS:

Knowledge of React-Native is a plus;
Knowledge of Kotlin is a plus;
Knowledge of Swift is a plus;
Knowledge of Scala is a plus;
Expertise with protobuf/gRPC is a plus;
Other Python frameworks experience is a plus;
Design / Develop RESTful API experience is a plus.

Challenges

Responsibilities:

Building Python Back End API;
Building Front End for the API using React;
Code review for both;
Contribute to the requirements, architecture, and implementation of existing and future systems;
Deliver constant value back to the business in a highly agile team;
Collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members;
Daily communication with English-speaking customers (calls, meetings, demos, etc.);
Adapt quickly to new technologiesx.
