About the role:

Would you like to work with a leading pet tech innovator? We are now looking for a lead cloud engineer to join our new team — this will also be a great opportunity to work with an established US-based client.

As a lead AWS cloud engineer, you will be responsible for ongoing AWS IoT development, third-party IoT product integrations, system debugging, and more.

Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan with manufacturing operations in Juneau, WI, Whisker (formerly known as AutoPets) is a leading innovator in pet tech and refined pet accessories. Whisker is also the maker of Litter-Robot, Feeder-Robot, and Litterbox.com.

Salary:

6,500 - 8,000 USD

Location:

Remote/Poland/LatAm

Skills & Experience:

Excellent knowledge and experience with AWS;
Excellent knowledge and solid experience with Node.js (TypeScript);
Good knowledge and solid experience with Python;
Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
Experience in team/tech leading.

Nice to have:

Understanding/Experience of/with serverless architectures;
Experience with AWS services: IoT, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, API Gateway, CDK, Kinesis;
Experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of cloud engineers and take overall responsibility over the development process;
Implement new features using the above-mentioned stack;
Refactoring/Migration of existing solutions from Node.js(TypeScript) to Python and vice versa;
Analyze existing code/infrastructure;
Break down and delegate tasks.
