Our Client is rapidly expanding its development effort and is seeking a Lead PHP Software Engineer to join a small team of dedicated engineers, developers, artists for an exciting project with the exciting company. As a Lead PHP Software Engineer, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.

The Client chat room experiences are hyper-personal fostering meaningful friendships rather than amassing a large number of shallow, status-based relationships.

What we looking for

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience;
A firm grasp of Computer Science fundamentals including object oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis;
6+ years of web API development:
- 4+ years developing APIs in scripting languages (PHP, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript).
- 1+ years in modern PHP (7+).
Extensive experience with and knowledge of [multi-tier] applications and RESTful APIs;
Knowledgeable of real-time web UI technology (ex. WebSockets, HTTP/2, pub/sub, messaging brokers);
Developed consumer applications that have handled significant public traffic (10k+ daily active users);
Experience with REST API documentation strategies (Swagger, PHPDoc).

Will be a plus:

Familiarity with Slim and REST API frameworks for PHP;
Professional Experience in .NET/C# server-side development;
1+ years of full-stack Web UI development (modern javascript frontend frameworks);
Knowledge of data pipelining and pub/sub architectures;
Experience in data architecture: SQL databases, caching, sharding;
Knowledge of DevOps systems, CI/CD, deployment pipeline.
