We are looking for an iOS Engineer to join our team.

GIPHY is the world’s largest platform to search, discover, and create all kinds of GIFs. We’re the leading brand in short-form entertainment and visual communication.

GIPHY is integrated in iMessage, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Tinder, Slack, WhatsApp and many more, serving over 7 billion GIFs daily to over 500 million people across the globe. We are also creating the largest distributed ad platform for short form media.

What we looking for

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or proven experience as an app developer;
3+ years of experience Designing and building applications for the iOS platforms, including extensions such as iMessage and Keyboard;
Proficient with Swift, Objective-C (optional) and Cocoa Touch;
Must have extensive experience with most common iOS Frameworks;
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services;
Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines;
Proficient in code versioning tools such as Git;
Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools, such as Instruments;
Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines;

Upper intermediate level of Spoken and written English;
Sense of humor, excellent communication skills, and love of GIFs;
Ability to collaborate with product and designers.

Will be a plus:

knowledge on CI/CD;
knowledge of graphics rendering algorithms;
Experience with GPU APIs, preferably Metal, OpenGL, ARKit;
Familiarity on common SDKs such as IGListKit, Firebase and Lottie;
Experience with test automation.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, including maintenance of analytics and bugs;
Unit-testing code, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability;
Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance;
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation;
Continuously discover and evaluate new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
