About the role:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with GCP experience to help us set up and support all the DevOps processes for a highload project in the fintech domain. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will produce clean and maintainable DevOps solutions, help establish all the DevOps practices, refine the infrastructure architecture, and set up monitoring tools.

About the project:

The project is currently under NDA and we can only provide limited details. In short, the project involves building a flexible and scalable payment gateway that handles a high number of online transactions.

Our client is a leading payment service provider. It is a full-service provider that unites complex payment processes into one single ecosystem. Our client provides a unified, streamlined, and convenient option for those looking for payment services without having to individually handle the multiple facets of payment processing.

Who are we looking for?

Skills & Experience:

5+ years of working experience in DevOps;
Ample experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
Experience in continuous deployment, build systems & sandbox management;
Experience using Terraform and Kubernetes;
Proven experience in building highly secured infrastructure;
Experience in using TeamCity;
Good knowledge of Scripting in Linux: Bash;
Experience in common open-source monitoring/metric/build software (NewRelic, for example);
Exceptional understanding of service quality, live maintenance, and data integrity;
Knowledge of L2/L3 networking fundamentals and technologies;
Understanding of TCP/IP and load balancing;
Upper-Intermediate English or above.

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience with other CI/CD tools;
Experience in site reliability development;
Experience in common open-source software such as PostgreSQL, Varnish, Redis, Memcached, Apache, and NGINX;

Responsibilities:

Streamline/automate CI/CD process to allow consistently successful deployments as well as faster and simpler maintenance and rollbacks;
Streamline/automate management and monitoring in all environments;
Design and setup tools, practices, and processes that help development and support teams achieve their goals more efficiently;
Create Runbooks and Handbooks for the developers that will help the dev team to support newly created fintech products.
