We are looking for a Senior DevOps to join the Roku team.

The ideal candidate will have endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver and self-starter who can drive DevOps/SRE initiatives in an internet scale system. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.

What we looking for

Requirements:

5+ years of experience building DevOps/SRE solutions for large scale distributed systems;
Experience building solutions with cloud providers such as AWS;
Experience with infrastructure management tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation;
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Salt and Puppet;
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and GitLab;
Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy, Python or Perl.

Will be a plus:

Experience leading DevOps/SRE solutions from inception to production is a plus;
Experience with high availability systems is a plus;
Experience with Database Administration, Containers, Etc., is a plus;
B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Challenges

Responsibilities:

Work alongside a highly skilled engineering team to deliver automation, scalability, performance, reliability, and high availability of large scale/revenue critical applications;
Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, configuration management automation, and infrastructure as code solutions;
Demonstrate high levels of ownership and collaboration;
Demonstrate excellent communication skills in working with technical and non-technical audiences;
Be an evangelist for best practices across all functions – developers, QA, and infrastructure/ops;
Be an evangelist for platform innovation and reuse;
Deliver top-quality software in a timely fashion.
