About the role:

As a Quality Assurance Testing Engineer, you will utilize automation and testing software to create and test different software packages to ensure they meet quality standards for a product in the financial industry.

About the project:

Our client offers software and consulting services in taxation in the United States. For our project, you will help drive the software architecture design, modernization, and transformation to modern microservice-based platforms and distributed systems in the cloud.

Who are we looking for?

Skills & Experience:

Education and/or experience — Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
4+ years of experience in automated testing;
Experience managing automation strategies and testing frameworks;
Good knowledge of how to use/maintain automation and testing tools;
Knowledge of Postman and other tools for automation in cross-browser web testing;
Experience designing well-structured test plans and test cases;
Good communication skills;
Strong work ethics;
Detail-oriented;
Good problem-solving skills;
Ability to work in a team and independently;
Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt quickly;
Intermediate (B2) English or above; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.

NICE TO HAVE:

Knowledge of tax principles or experience working with financial applications.

Responsibilities:

Create and execute comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases using automation and testing tools;
Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases for at least one area (UI, APIs, Infrastructure, etc.);
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies;
Execute both functional and non-functional testing as needed;
Carry out acceptance testing of features, changes, and bug fixes to ensure delivered functionality meets expectations, requirements, and design intent;
Conduct regression testing to ensure the development of new features does not break existing software functionality or introduce new bugs;
Understand and analyze user stories, requirements, or product specifications;
Mentor other team members;
Meet deadlines and commitments;
Provide suggestions to enhance and improve the software;
Define and maintain an automation strategy.
