Senior React Native Developer

About the role:

Are you looking for new challenges with a purpose? What about working with a healthcare institution to help patients in need?

We are now looking for an experienced senior React Native developer to join our team and help refine the existing web portal by developing new features and introducing improvements using the best software development practices. If you have at least four years of in-depth experience with JavaScript, this could be the right opportunity for you.

About the project

The project we are working on consists of an iOS and Android application in early stages of development; Patients will use the app on their phones or tablets, and the app needs to be available for Android and Apple iOS with the following features:

Register as a new patient
Questionnaires
History Tab
Learn
Settings
Access single patient views of data
Web-based dashboard to view patients who have downloaded the app and some metrics of app activity; this could also be delivered through a report from the app.
Notification mechanism with incremental reviews, patient answers, and alerts clinicians based on predefined criteria

Team: 1 Full Stack, 1 React Native, and 1 PM/BA.

Salary:

6,000 - 6,500 USD

Location:

Hybrid: Kyiv

Skills & Experience:

In-depth understanding of JavaScript (4+ years of experience);
Familiarity with native build tools such as XCode, Gradle, Android Studio, and IntelliJ;
Excellent knowledge of React JS (3+ years of experience);
Expert knowledge of client-side technologies: HTML, CSS;
Ability to write scalable, maintainable code;
Capable of working in a team within a full development life cycle;
Upper-intermediate English or above.

Responsibilities:

Develop new features and introduce improvements to existing functionalities throughout the continuous expansion of the applications;
Develop reusable UI components and build scalable UI architecture for upcoming features and functions;
Produce well-designed and efficient code using the best software development practices;
Perform code reviews in compliance with the best engineering practices, coding standards, and quality criteria set for the projects;
Provide suggestions on how to improve the architecture, coding practices, build/verification toolset, and solve customer problems.
