About the role
We are seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows on Palantir Foundry within the real estate and investment management domain. In this role, you will focus on integrating diverse data sources, ensuring data quality, and enabling scalable data products that power analytics and applications. You’ll work as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with product managers, analysts, and architects to deliver robust data solutions that drive business value.
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the pipelines, transformations, and data models that sit at the core of Foundry implementations. You’ll partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, making sure data is clean, reliable, and accessible to downstream users. Working closely with program leadership and senior engineers, you’ll help ensure that Foundry is leveraged effectively to support enterprise needs in accounting, reporting, and real estate.

Our client is a leading, $35B global commercial real estate services and investment firm. To accelerate its digital transformation, the organization is adopting Palantir Foundry as a core data and application platform. The focus is on building scalable solutions that showcase Foundry’s value, drive adoption, and create a pipeline of business-funded initiatives. These efforts aim to enable efficient data transformation and client-specific reporting at enterprise scale. Together, they will strengthen reporting capabilities, improve efficiency, and establish a foundation for data-driven applications across global operations.
Who are we looking for?
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering role
- Familiarity with data governance, data modeling & analysis and data quality concepts and requirements
- Understanding of data lifecycle, DataOps concepts, and basic design patterns.
- Experience in SQL and database management systems
- Expertise in ETL processes and tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java.
- 2-3 years experience working with big data tools and cloud data platforms (at least one: AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake)
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Solid problem-solving skills for debugging complex systems.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data processing systems and pipelines
- Develop ETL processes to extract data from various sources and transform it for analysis
- Create and optimize database schemas and data models
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems
- Ensure data security, privacy, compliance with regulations and basic data governance practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve data flow issues
- Collaborate closely with the team members and other stakeholders
- Participate in data governance and compliance efforts
- Document data pipelines, processes, and best practices
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.
