We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Security and Compliance Specialist to support and strengthen our security posture and compliance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems and data, while also ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies. This role covers technical security operations, infrastructure controls, audit readiness and general IT support (HelpDesk), and requires a deep understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and the ability to implement and monitor security controls.
Who are we looking for?
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Implement and monitor security controls across various IT systems, including networks, servers, applications, and endpoints.
- Manage and respond to security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Perform risk assessments and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure completeness of security awareness training among proxetters
- Provide IT support and HelpDesk assistance
- Develop and manage access control procedures, conduct periodic reviewes of privileged accounts and access
- Maintain and monitor VPN/MDM tools for security remote access
- Monitor and mitigate phishing, malware, and other cyber threats
- Maintain accurate records of security configurations, incidents, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security into new and existing systems and processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT security, compliance, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001).
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners).
- Hands-on experience with VPN/MDM platforms (e.g. Intune etc)
- Working knowledge of phishing mitigation, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanning
- Good understanding of access controls (RBAC,ABAC), permission models
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Experience with HelpDesk tools (e.g. JSM, Freshdesk etc)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- English: Upper intermediate or higher
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Would be a plus:
- Experience in configuration of Google Wokrplace, MS Active Directory.
- Experience with IAM tools
- Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation
