About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and contribute to a large-scale healthcare research platform used by thousands of users across one of the largest healthcare ecosystems in the United States.
This role combines hands-on testing with active participation in requirements analysis and product discussions. In addition to ensuring software quality, you will help shape user stories, define acceptance criteria, identify edge cases, and collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

About the project
The Insight Research Portal is a large enterprise platform supporting research administration, compliance, and operational processes across a major healthcare organization.
The platform helps researchers, administrators, and compliance teams manage and monitor research activities through a unified system that streamlines complex organizational workflows.
The application serves thousands of active users and continues to evolve through ongoing modernization and enhancement initiatives.
Who are we looking for?
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in manual software testing
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software testing practices
- Experience testing web-based applications
- Experience creating and maintaining test documentation
- Experience writing or refining user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand complex business processes and system workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good spoken and written English
Nice to have
- Experience working in healthcare, research, compliance, or other regulated industries
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Interest in test automation
- Experience working with enterprise-scale applications and complex workflows
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and workflows
- Create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria
- Identify gaps, ambiguities, edge cases, and potential risks early in the development process
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and related documentation
- Perform functional, smoke, regression, and exploratory testing
- Validate solutions against business requirements and user expectations
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product quality and team processes
