Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role:

Are you looking for new challenges with a purpose? What about working on a new open-source project?

We are looking for a skilled DevOps engineer to help create a multi-cloud platform and deploy infrastructure using Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure management, containerization, and automation as well as good knowledge of AWS and Azure services.

About the project

Our client is building an easy-to-use assessment data management tool that migrates from AWS to Azure for a monitoring system with SQL-first transformation workflow that lets teams deploy analytics code following software engineering best practices like modularity, portability, CI/CD, and documentation quickly and collaboratively.

Up to 9,000 USD

Location:

Remote: Europe/Ukraine

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, preferably with experience in multi-cloud environments;
Good knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Services;
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams;
Experience with deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform;
Experience working with GitHub Actions;
Solid understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure architecture;
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team;
Advanced written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

Experience in working with multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure);
Experience with Python;

Responsibilities:

Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision resources in Azure;
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for infrastructure deployment and application code deployment;
Collaborate with software developers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide guidance on infrastructure-related issues;
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure cost efficiency and performance;
Manage and automate deployments to Kubernetes clusters;
Communicate with stakeholders of different projects to perform assessments.
