About the role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on large-scale production systems and will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust web applications using Python. This role will involve collaborating closely with stakeholders, contributing to product ideation, and delivering creative and user-friendly solutions.

About the project:

Our client is an online database and search engine that allows users to search and share short looping videos with no sound, resembling animated GIF files. It is the world’s best and most comprehensive place to search, discover, share, and create animated graphics. The platform supports multiple API integrations with most messengers like iMessage, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Tinder, Slack, WhatsApp, and many more, enabling powerful expression across global communication platform.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications and Skills:

5+ years of experience in core Python;
Experience with GRPC, Redis;
Working knowledge of PostgreSql or other relational databases;
Familiarity with work queues such as Celery;
Experience with deploying to the cloud (AWS);
Experience with containerization (such as Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD (such as Jenkins);
Knowledge of relational data stores, especially Postgres.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to product ideation, and delivering creative, beautiful and easy-to-use solutions.
Ability to work directly with stakeholders in multiple areas.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize work to maximize stakeholder value.
Ability to manage a team of up junior to mid career engineers.
Advanced level of spoken and written English.

Nice to have:

Experience with Django and Django REST framework
Ad Tech Experience.

Responsibilities:

Own our proprietary Ad Product Campaign Management System (CMS).
Identify, build, and maintain new features within CMS.
Respond promptly to any issues from our Ad Ops group, prioritizing uptime and delivery of campaigns.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand and address their needs and requirements and support their Ad related initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization, enhancing data models, and managing dependencies.
Oversee a team of fullstack and front end developers focused on building Ad Campaign management tooling.
