About the role
We’re looking for a Success / Onboarding Software Engineer to join our team and ensure a seamless experience for new customers as they go live with the client's platform. You’ll sit at the intersection of customer success, engineering, and product—building tools, integrations, and processes that accelerate time to value for producers adopting our platform.
This role is ideal for an engineer who is not only technically strong but also client-oriented, with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in solving real-world problems for customers and shipping fast, high-impact work. You’ll collaborate with Success Managers, Sales Engineers, and the Product team to ensure each customer is onboarded efficiently and can scale with confidence.

Who are we looking for?
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or technical implementation specialist
- Strong SQL skills—working with complex queries and transforming messy datasets is a key part of the job
- Strong coding skills (Python, Go, or similar)
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and data pipelines
- Experience working with third-party integrations or ETL systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with non-technical users
- High ownership mindset—you thrive in startup environments and love solving unstructured problems
Nice to have
- Experience in construction tech, logistics, or ERP/inventory management software
- Knowledge of systems like Command Alkon, Sysdyne, or GivenHansco
- Familiarity with Postman, Terraform, or basic DevOps tasks
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and balance speed with quality
Responsibilities
- Build custom scripts, integrations, and configuration pipelines to support new customer onboarding
- Work directly with customer data sets: clean, transform, and load historical data (quotes, orders, pricing) into the Slabstack platform
- Develop tooling and internal dashboards to accelerate onboarding timelines and reduce manual work
- Debug and resolve onboarding-related issues across integrations (Command Alkon, Sysdyne, GivenHansco, etc.)
- Contribute to documentation and onboarding best practices
- Partner with Customer Success and Sales teams to ensure a smooth handoff from sales → onboarding, → expansion
- Participate in customer calls and Slack channels to understand workflows and drive value
